Everyday people,
extraordinary results.
CrossFit Leiden is a place where busy parents, young professionals, students, expats and people who haven't worked out in years get stronger together. No judgement, no pressure. Just training and growing together.
Why CrossFit Leiden
is different
We're not a typical gym. CrossFit Leiden was founded on one simple idea: everyone should feel welcome to work out, whatever your age, fitness level or experience.
No macho culture or intimidating vibe. Here you train next to parents who come in after bedtime, expats looking for a new community and people who haven't exercised in 10 or 20 years. Everyone starts somewhere, and we'll help you on your way.
We don't just train inside the gym. We take on challenges outside the box together: HYROX events, runs, outdoor challenges and trips. The gym is the tool. The goal is that you stand stronger and more confident in life.

Over the next 10 years we'll help 4,800 people become stronger, more positive and more energetic.
Kees & Jeroen
Two friends who believe everyone should be welcome to work out. In 2015 they started CrossFit Leiden with one simple idea: a place where everyone is welcome, whatever your level or experience.

Kees grew up in a gym and discovered CrossFit in 2012. He opened Gymbox Noordwijk in 2014 and co-founded CrossFit Leiden with Jeroen in 2015. Kees lives in Katwijk aan Zee with his wife Nathalie and their two sons.
Jeroen has always been active, from football to surfing. In 2014 he chose the fitness world and coached people in Chile before returning to the Netherlands. Together with Kees he built CrossFit Leiden into a place where everyone feels at home.
“I want CrossFit Leiden to be a positive lighthouse in the city. A place where energy starts and spreads to families, businesses and the streets of Leiden. A second living room where you feel seen and where you walk out a little stronger every week than when you came in.” – Jeroen
Our coaching team
No drill sergeants. Just regular people with busy lives, like you. They know your name, remember your goals and adapt every workout to your level.
Saskia came to CrossFit Leiden a few years ago to get rid of her back pain, and it worked so well she changed careers. She makes sure everything in the gym runs smoothly and that everyone feels welcome.

Rochelle is a gymnastics coach at national level and brings that expertise to CrossFit Leiden. She is great with both kids and adults, and helps everyone learn movements safely. Besides coaching with us, she trains her gymnastics squad for world championships.

Jeffrey was a professional footballer before becoming a CrossFit coach. He understands what it means to perform and to feel at ease. Jeffrey adapts his coaching to what you need, whether you are looking for a challenge or prefer to build up gradually.

Jari is our movement specialist. Besides small group and Unlock Motion classes, he runs the Body-APK: an in-depth posture and movement analysis. He looks beyond where you feel discomfort, focusing on how your body moves as a whole. Dealing with recurring pain or limitations? Jari is the coach who gets you moving again.
Max has years of experience as a personal trainer and CrossFit coach. He loves hiking and camping with his family. As a coach, Max creates a fun and positive atmosphere where everyone feels welcome, whatever their level.

Natália is from Brazil and moved to the Netherlands in 2022. With a degree in movement sciences and a passion for running, she brings creativity and positivity to every class. She coaches group classes and the Teens sessions with lots of energy and patience.

Annie helps members with practical nutrition advice that fits a busy life. No extreme diets, just simple steps that work.

Sem is always cheerful and loves connecting with everyone in his classes. He is passionate about Olympic weightlifting and gets up at 5 a.m. every morning to train before coaching the first class. You see that dedication and energy in his coaching.
Erin already coached at CrossFit Leiden in 2019 and is now back. By day she works for the Ministry of Defence, helping soldiers stay mentally strong. In her free time she teaches salsa. That mix of rhythm, focus and resilience shows in her coaching.

Hoite is one of our dedicated coaches who loves working with beginners. He takes the time to explain movements properly and makes sure you feel comfortable in class.
