The CrossFit Method

CrossFit is the first method that defines a way to measure and improve your fitness. Instead on focusing on just one skill, which makes you loose strength and mobility, we will train you to get better in these 10 skills:

This way you will become a complete person with a more healthy body.

Health & Fitness Check

At CrossFit Leiden everyone starts with an intake sessions and a Health & Fitness check. CrossFit is not just another fitness program. It will get you as fit as possible in strength, conditioning, and mobility. But to get the most out of this we need to define your starting point. We will define your strength & weaknesses and create a plan how to approach these in our fundamental course.


The Fundamental Course

This course is a series of 1-on-1 or 2-on-1 training sessions. They are custom made based on your goals and the results of the Fitness & Health Check. They include among others:

  1. Detailed training of barbell and gymnastic techniques.
  2. Strength, conditioning and mobility methods.
  3. Nutrition, recovery and lifestyle advice.


Personal Coaching

The fundamentals will create the foundation of your CrossFit journey. It is your first investment in your health and fitness. Because of the importance of a solid start we give these sessions in a 1-on-1 or 1-on-2 format. This way we can focus on getting you ready for the intensive CrossFit group training sessions.

Strength Training

We don’t focus on one type of strength training. We use free weights, kettle bells, body weight exercises, ropes, rings, running etc. This combination of tools gives you a challenging and varied strength program.



We call our conditioning training the Metcon, short for Metabolic Conditioning. CrossFit is most known for its Metcon. Because we combine many movements together in a very short time you get a very effective workout. The higher your intensity, the more you progress to getting fit!
