Here at CrossFit Leiden, we’re proud to provide free consultations to anyone interested in starting their fitness journey with us.

Let’s face it finding a program that speaks to you and your goals is hard and sticking with one is even more difficult. How many times have you started something and not even a few weeks later life gets in the way and you never go back?

That’s why we want to bring you in for a complimentary 1-on-1 assessment. We want to know more about you, your life, why you want to get fit and where we fit into the picture, we want to know what we can do to hold you accountable and how we can develop a plan of action to ensure you get fit for good this time!

You’re probably thinking; I’m not in shape enough for this yet and I don’t know anyone at CrossFit Leiden and I’m really nervous to just walk in the door! Don’t worry about a thing, because you’ll find that at CrossFit Leiden we maintain a lighthearted and welcoming atmosphere that caters to regular people just like you! So much so that a ton of our members just hang around all day calling CrossFit Leiden their second or even third home!

INTRODUCTION TO YOUR NEW COACH FOR LIFE

Let’s face it, you’re destined to fail if you don’t have someone in your corner backing you up every step of the day. Big box gyms bank on you never using your membership, but we want to see you here each and every week making continued progress toward your personalized goals.

This is where your coach for life comes in and saves the day! You’ll meet this person during your intake and your coach for life will work with you to understand exactly what motivates you and how you can work together to ensure you keep coming back and continue to achieve incredible progress.

If you fall off track expect a call from your coach asking where you’ve been and encouraging you to get back in the gym. Simply starting and falling off track then never coming back just doesn’t happen at CrossFit Leiden. We are 100% committed to your success and well-being!

PERSONAL TRAINING

After your complimentary intake session, you will go through our 1-on-1 assessment. The goal of the assessment is for you and your coach to have a better understanding of your current movement patterns.

We will define where you are and what you need to work on to reach your goals. We want you to create as much body awareness as possible and create that mind-muscle connection in order for you to really enjoy and feel those movements we do here in our gym. Having more awareness of what your body is doing and actually enjoying the training will make it so much easier to keep you on track towards reaching those goals.

We are experienced in doing an assessment with all kind of fitness levels, from regular people like you and me to elite level athletes. And because every person is so different, each assessment will be different as well. It will be a fully personalized way of working.

The assessment is also the time where we can find out why you always have that injury coming up in the shoulder or why your lower back is hurting you. Or maybe why you never have been able to lift more weight from the floor. Pain in the body or fitness plateaus are very common and can in many cases be explained by having established the wrong movement patterns.

In the assessment you learn:

  • Our foundational movement patterns
  • The most common seen movements that you will see in our group classes
  • Your strength and your weaknesses
  • How to breathe during movements
  • How to get a baseline level of fitness in a safe environment
  • Mobility and Recovery techniques
  • How to set attainable goals with your coach for life

After your assessment, you and your coach for life will sit down and work to create a personalized plan of action that caters to your specific goals and works with your current level of fitness.

You and your coach for life will decide how many times per week you should attend our group classes and how often you both should meet 1-on-1 to ensure you stay on track. These are what we call our hybrid memberships, designed to keep you attending classes and ensure you meet with your coach for life as often as needed. No more starting a program and never finishing it, we make sure you’re in the gym as often as you need to be!

Classes can be scary at first. You don’t know anyone, some people look very fit and lots of the movements are things you may not have seen before. We understand exactly how you feel and we want to bring you into our gym in a way that makes you feel confident, excited and worry-free.

The social environment, the community and the friends you make will give you a different sort of push and will help you reach new heights of fitness. Each and every person at CrossFit Leiden is dedicated to not only ensuring they succeed but ensuring everyone else succeeds. There is no judgment at CrossFit Leiden, only a community of like-minded individuals who come together to create an incredibly strong community!

We have a 4-week waiting list for those that want to train in the evening.
